About Sam

Meet Sam Krauter, an alumnus of Penn State Harrisburg and Former President and V.P. of Professional Development of the Pro-Sales Club. He transferred from HACC to Penn State Harrisburg and graduated with a degree in marketing and management. He joined the club through recruitment from the first club president due to his interest in psychology and sales and became the second club president until his graduation in Fall 2018. 

Sam began his career as a IT recruiter in Harrisburg, he is now does outside sales at Renewal by Anderson. Sam emphasized that joining the club was a massive help for his career due to the connections from sales competitions. He iterated that the networking that comes with being in the club was phenomenal especially the aspect of working with industry professionals. 

Advice

Sam told me that you got to take advantage of the sales opportunities the club offers as it was a big help to his career. He also gave me insight about choosing the right job. When applying for jobs one of the biggest factors you should look for is how the management acts and the company culture, as it plays a big role into whether you will enjoy working for that company. Sam is one of our first club members and has achieved a career and is striving to do more.
