Meet Tanner McCauley, an esteemed alumnus of Penn State Harrisburg. Tanner graduated from PSH with a degree in marketing, he chose Penn State because of the name initially, but after doing more research of the business program at the Harrisburg campus he knew that was his best option. The more personalized smaller classes, great professor relationships, and the career opportunities are just some of the reasons he found PSH so appealing.

Tanner now works at the company UPS as a District Account Executive, a job that he got through networking with people that he met at prior sales events through the sales club. At his job he handles most of the major imports and exports of large scale to a large area of south PA. Not only did he find his career through meeting people at sales events, but the events helped him really apply the classroom knowledge to real situations.

The most important piece of advice he could give to any business student is to build the network nonstop and through participating in sales at PSH many strong connections were built that ended up helping him later in life. Aside from networking and applying his knowledge, the events attended through the sales club helped give him an upper hand during interviews because he had those real-life experiences vs someone who just took classes. Tanner McCauley is just one of the many alumni to use their experiences with sales at PSH to create a great career.
